These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of YouTube Collector ("the Service"), operated by YouTube Collector ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of Service
YouTube Collector is a web application that allows users to save YouTube videos, view searchable transcripts, and access AI-generated summaries. The Service fetches publicly available video metadata and transcripts from YouTube.
2. Accounts
To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address or sign in via Google or Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
3. Free and Pro Tiers
Free tier: You may save up to 30 videos in your personal library at no cost. Free accounts include AI summaries, transcript search, community library access, and the popup player.
Pro tier: For a monthly subscription fee, you get unlimited videos, bulk playlist import, export tools, and priority processing. Pricing is displayed on our pricing page.
4. Payment and Billing
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through our payment processor. You may cancel at any time; your Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to circumvent free tier limits through multiple accounts
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the Service beyond normal use
- Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the security of the Service
- Resell or redistribute transcripts or summaries obtained through the Service for commercial purposes
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
6. Intellectual Property
Video content, including transcripts, belongs to the original YouTube creators. YouTube Collector provides tools to access and organize publicly available information. AI-generated summaries are produced for your personal use. The Service itself, including its design, code, and branding, is our intellectual property.
7. Community Library
By adding a video to your library, you agree that its metadata (title, channel, transcript, AI summary) may be cached and shared with other users through the community library. Your personal notes, tags, and collections remain private.
8. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in that policy.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that transcripts will be available for all videos, that AI summaries will be accurate, or that the Service will be uninterrupted.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your personal data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
